The Review of Finance is pleased to announce its partnership with the 9th World Symposium on Investment Research (WSIR), which will be held in Edinburgh, Scotland, on May 3–4, 2026.
This collaboration strengthens the journal’s commitment to fostering high-quality scholarship in investment research and provides authors with an additional opportunity to reach both the academic community and the readership of the Review of Finance. Through the dual submission option, authors whose papers are submitted to the symposium may also choose to have their work considered by the journal under our established dual review system.

REVIEW OF FINANCE DUAL SUBMISSION OPTION
Papers that are submitted for presentation at the Symposium may also be submitted at the authors’ choice to the RF under its dual review system at no extra cost. Papers that are rejected at any stage of this process are not considered to have been rejected at the RF. Authors may submit a future version of the same paper to the RF, even if the paper is not selected for presentation at the Symposium. To be eligible for the dual submission option, a paper must not already be under review or invited revision at any journal (including the RF), and once submitted, it may not be submitted elsewhere until the author has been notified of the outcome of the dual submission process.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The submitted papers will be reviewed and ranked by the symposium committee members and about ten papers will be selected. The authors will be notified of the selection outcome by January 31, 2026. The online registration will be open at wsir.org from February 20 to April 20, 2026. The symposium hotel is Radisson Blu Edinburgh. All symposium participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements, but the hotel has pre-booked rooms at a discount rate. Each discussant receives a small honorarium.
